Artemonas

Artemonas is a beautiful graphic mountain village hardly one kilometre from Apollonia, famous for its high-class style and the traditional mazy lanes. In the past it was a separate community that together with Apollonia they were the centre of administration of Sifnos. Wandering in the narrow alleys of Artemonas you will admire the old mansions and the neo-classical villas that reveal the rich past. Taste traditional dishes and pastries in the local restaurants and patisseries of the area. Apollonia

Apollonia is the capital of the island. With the traditional architecture of Cyclades that imposes white houses, the full of flowers courtyards and the traditional alleys, Apollonia is one of the most beautiful capitals of Cyclades. Vathi

Vathi is a graphic coastal village with great tradition in pottery. It is found in south-west of Apollonia, and is hiding from the wind in a windless bay. Vathi attracts many tourists due to crystal water, the astonishing beach and its natural beauty. Kastro

Kastro, that means castle, is a characteristic village, typical in the old days, where the exterior walls of houses constitute the wall of the castle. Built on a hill, it offers panoramic view to the Aegean Sea and it is perhaps the most famous village of Sifnos. Dare to enter in the interior of Kastro and walk through the old entries-lodges of Kastro. Do not forget to visit also the archaeological museum of the area. Platys Gialos

Platys Gialos is a coastal settlement, famous for his beautiful and cosmopolitan beach that is one of the biggest in Cyclades. It is found 12 km south of Apollonia in an area full of gardens and olive groves. There are lots of potteries which are worth visiting and meet the local artists of clay. Opposite of the gulf of Platys Gialos, it is located a little island called Kitriani. The only sign of life in the islet is the temple of Virgin Mary of Kitriani. Faros
